Romans 10:9-10 | NIV
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
THE CALL
Some people walk around with the spirit of fear and act like a salesman or woman going from door to door to see who they can get to buy in to their fear. You don’t have to accept everything that is presented to you. You have permission to close the door on fear. If it does not come from God, don’t accept it.
Fear is a trouble maker when it is not tamed. Fear enables Cain’s jealousy to strike down your brother who has no bearing on your relationship with God. Fear will cause you to hide to avoid reprimand like Adam. Fear will cripple you, cause you to cower and cry out against the truth like Peter when Jesus was arrested. Fear will condemn you and have you take your life like Judas Iscariot, if you let it.
Fear is a formidable foe who can be foiled by fervent, fortified Faith in the Father. You cannot let fear cause you to fall apart. Keep your mind on the Lord and peace will be your portion (Isaiah 26:3).
I encourage you to accept what God has for you. Give fear an eviction notice.Love casts out all fear! You must let love abide in you so He can do what He alone can do! You are not meant to walk around afraid. A fear raid must be halted, backed up and backed off of you and only the love of God can do it. The question is will you let Him.
Love meticulously came down through 42 messed up generations. HE was born in a time when the ruler of the day was so fearful that he had children killed so that none of them could fulfill the prophecy of a Messiah coming. He lived a righteous life and did wonderful things such as healing the sick, raising the dead, even forgiving sin. His actions caused leaders of that day to fear losing their positions, influence, and livelihood. Fear will cause a lot of folly if you let it.
Fear even crept its way into the hearts of his followers. One of them betrayed God with a kiss, another cussed and lied saying he never knew Love. Love was falsely accused, convicted and sentenced to death on a cross. Love was hung high and stretched wide so all men could see and ridicule Him. Love died. Love died and was buried. However, this was not the end for Love. Father God, on the first day of the week, raised Love from the grave and gave Him power and authority. Love never fails. Love opened the door to a relationship with Father God; a relationship that He has not had with Man since before Adam sinned.
The next time someone asks what love got to do with it, answer them everything! Love is everything! Love is the Lie-breaker who showed me He cared and wanted me to live an abundant life! Love is the liberator of my soul! Love can and will do great things for you too! Love is knocking at your door! Will you let Him in?
